Breaking Ground, MOVING FORWARD

To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven" - Ecclesiastes 3:1

Grace and peace to you!

"And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work:" - 2 Corinthians 9:8

Thank you to all that attended the praiseworthy Phase II Groundbreaking Ceremony in July. Having the opportunity to witness and be a part of another historic day in the life of this church was remarkable. Also, I sincerely thank you Canaan for supporting my pastoral leadership on this spiritual journey. We are one step closer to our goal of the building phase commencement. The time to reveal the great works of God's grace is approaching fast. Hallelujah!

"And they gave the money, being told, into the hands of them that did the work, that had the oversight of the house of the Lord: and they laid it out to the carpenters and builders, that wrought upon the house of the Lord," - 2 Kings 12:11

Over the coming weeks, the Phase II project team will continue to work closely with the architect and construction contractors in making sure the tentative plans for the new facility are finalized, followed, and implemented as instructed. Additional updates will be given to the congregation as the building phase continues to move forward. We are confident and excited of this incredible moment that God is working out on our behalf. Praise God!

"Every man according as he purpose in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver." - 2 Corinthians 9:7

Additionally, it is essential that we extend our ongoing prayers for guidance from God as each day appears. The increased affirmative support in pledges and contributions is greatly appreciated, as it exposes the fearless generosity and good stewardship given towards the vision.

Likewise, we must continue preparing our hearts to embrace infinite wisdom, protection, humility, patience, discernment and unity during this wondrous endeavor. To God be the Glory!

"Commit thy works unto the Lord, and thy thoughts shall be established." - Proverbs 16:3

In conclusion, I am grateful for the attention and care of our obedience to God as it reinforces the commitment we made on this spiritual journey of faith. A very special thanks to Deacon Earl Green, the Steering Committee, Dr. Arvis Strickling-Jones, and the Church Anniversary Celebration Weekend team for their outstanding leadership. Every expression of gifts given to this branch of Zion builds the infrastructure in an impeccable and harmonious way. We are worthy of God's many blessings in Canaan as everything is in place. Amen!

Stay strong!
