"Know therefore that the Lord your God is God; he is the faithful God, keeping his covenant of love to a thousand generations of those who love him and keep his commandments." -(Deuteronomy 7:9)
With an abundance of issues spreading throughout the nation and world today, it's comforting to know our God is still with us. In the morning when we see the light of His day, He is there. During our day, His presence can be felt. When night falls, He hears our prayers of forgiveness. God has kept our hearts and minds spirit-filled and in His perfect will. Also, He has surrounded us with His never ending grace and mercy. Praise God!
As Christians on this spiritual journey, let's be mindful that no matter what we have gone through, God has brought us through it all. Even though, weeping may have endured for a moment, there was and continues to be greater joy in the morning. In other words, as promised in Deuteronomy 31:6, God will never leave us, nor forsake us, for He is indeed a promise-keeper! Hallelujah!
Moreover, God is the same today, yesterday and tomorrow. We can count on Him always because He lives in each of us. For example, God has been a shelter for the homeless. When the sick called out to Him, He stepped in as the great physician. As grief overpowered our hearts, the Mighty comforter stretched forth His hands. When we lost our way, He became our GPS. And to the friendless, God interceded as the friend we needed.
To clarify, we should thank God for yet another day, especially as witnesses of the new year. He has truly been there for each one of us in our time of need. He's been that source of joy, when we felt there was no joy. He's made a way out of no way, when we asked Him for a way. In addition, He's loosened shackles on those that felt captive and imprisoned. We should remember that though the weapon may form against us, it will never prosper. God will fight our battles! He is on our side and we are already victorious. Amen!
Saints, there is nothing God cannot do when we seek Him. We are not beyond His reach. He is the giver of all life and there is no one like Him. He's the King of all Kings and has unlimited power. He's omnipotent, omniscient, and omnipresent. Therefore, let's get tied up, tangled up and wrapped up in God. He deserves the glory and all the honor. Beloved, lift Him up! Finally, let's invite God into our hearts and lives. Allow Him to order our steps in His way. Lean on God for support, hope and understanding in those difficult hours and days. With His steadfast love, He won't fail or abandon us. He's able to heal, restore, and lift our spirits to greater heights. Rejoice today, for our God is still a faithful and deserving God!
"God, who has called you into fellowship with his Son Jesus Christ our Lord, is faithful." -(1 Corinthians 1:9)
