NEW CASTLE, DELAWARE — Canaan Baptist Church is honored to welcome gospel music icon and internationally renowned pastor Shirley Caesar for a powerful two-night Juneteenth Celebration on Thursday, June 18, 2026, and Friday, June 19, 2026, at Canaan Baptist Church in New Castle, Delaware. The event will bring together worshippers, music lovers, and community members from across the region for an unforgettable celebration of faith, freedom, heritage, and hope.

Known as the “First Lady of Gospel Music,” Pastor Shirley Caesar has inspired generations through her ministry, music, and message of hope. With a career spanning more than seven decades, numerous Grammy Awards, and countless gospel classics, her influence on gospel music and Christian ministry is unmatched.

Hosted by Canaan Baptist Church in partnership with 250Ride.org and the Delaware Italian American Foundation, the Juneteenth Celebration will honor the enduring spirit of freedom while bringing people together through worship, music, fellowship, and community engagement.

Each evening will feature uplifting worship, inspirational music, and a powerful concert experience led by Pastor Shirley Caesar. Doors open at 6:00 p.m., and the program begins at 7:00 p.m. Guests are encouraged to arrive early as seating is limited.
